digitabulum is the latin word for glove. A (white) glove is something you may never be lacking of in an archive. It has not only to protect the archival collections but also the fingers. The latin word for finger is digitus. It is our aim to protect digitaly stored Information in an archive, using a special tailored glove to make digital data visible. This kind of glove is needed to make virtuality touchable!

digitabulum ist der Lateinische Ausdruck für Handschuh. Der (weiße) Handschuh fehlt in keinem Archiv. Er schützt wertvolles Archivgut -- und er schützt die Finger. Das Lateinische Wort für für Finger ist digitus. digital gespeicherte Information wirklich dauerhaft zu sichern, ist unsere Aufgabe.
